Art for Whimsical, Timeless Interiors

My bio on social media says that I make fine art for whimsical, timeless interiors - but what does that mean?
It's been hard for me to define my artwork, what it is, why I make it, what it means, how it all ties together. I don't paint one subject and right now I'm exploring different styles. But I started sharing my artwork because I feel like the only way for me to grow and learn, is to dive in, paint and share it. Even in the time since I first started putting my website together a few months ago, I already see so much growth, both in my art and in how clearly I can communicate about it.
The long and short of it, or the TLDR if you will: I am inspired by the little moments of magic that surround us, everyday. I want to bottle those up to keep as the reminders we all need to keep us grounded and present, truly content. I create art that lives in the balance between classic and grounded, yet alive with color, play and joy, art that is beautiful and lived-in, accessible yet enduring.
I want to create art that feels like me, art that feels like the vibe I want for my home and the life I live in it.
I think about it like it's a part of a larger scene in my imagination, because that's how it will live—
It's almost always see a small beach bungalow, with some glamorous light fixtures, cozy furniture and colorful art - Spring Irises hangs in a stack with a small gold mirror I thrifted, Leaves in New Orleans hangs behind our bar tray and thrifted silver. There's vibey music playing, family photos on the wall, fun cocktail glasses and the bar is always stocked. There's good food on the stove, friends and family hanging out on a big porch with big tropical leaves hanging all over. Nothing is too fragile or too precious, the sofa is meant to be lounged on and enjoyed. The walls might be white, but everything is colorful and collected.
Really I envision myself here, wearing a kaftan and drinking a tequila soda (more tequila than soda) or a really filthy martini, I spend all of my time painting and tending to my plants with my dog by my side, my husband probably reading on the porch, my kids running around. The neighborhood kids all wonder if I'm a witch, but like a nice, eccentric witch, ya know?
I think my artwork fits in a lot of places, of course; that's how homes and spaces become layered, by mixing in these moments that may not match perfectly, but fit you. Adding little bits that feel like pieces of stardust magic to you, and watching your space and your life come together to be perfectly yours.
I hope you can see these parts of me in it—or maybe just see yourself, something special to you—and that it resonates with you.
Maybe you, like me, feel like you don't fit in any one box so you're building your own.
xx,
